"Is what we see a dream, or reality? What do we know what is fiction or not? All we can do is keep on living life the way we do despite all the unnatural events around us. All we can do is believe what everyone else says is considered reality. All we can do, is keep as normal a life as we can. But...then again, what is normal?"
I drew this for a contest type thing for a local museum, but I didn't win anything hahaha. I love this one to pieces though cause... I just love it hahaha. I hope you enjoy it just as much as I enjoyed drawing it!
Sidenote: I didn't know what to call it, but I thought Reality Check and Flowers were good names. But I'm always up for better name (that is...if I find it fitting to the picture...)! If you have something good, please tell me! ^__^
I like this picture. ^.^ It's really neat. My one suggestion would be to use more depth; don't be afraid of starker contrast between colors.
*giggle* The godzilla things in the background are cute. ^.^ And I really like the shading on the rabbit-thing, though I still think more contrast could've been used.
Thank you for the suggestions but....I have some questions about them.... What do you mean by depth? What's starker contrast? And what do you mean more contrast could be used? Hahaha, I'm kinda bad in art termanology...or it could just be that my brain isn't working right now cause i'm so tired...but please answer back! ^__^

I can't remember what I meant by depth actually. O.o Probably 3D-ness.. And contrast is when things stand out. Darker shadows, lighter highlights, that kind of thing. Did you just use a No.2 pencil? If so, you may want to invest in some softer pencils, like a 3B or 4B, or maybe an ebony pencil. They're not too expensive, and you can get some really amazing things using them. ^-^
(sorry I took so long to reply... I went away for the summer and didn't have much computer access.)
I would have given it first place, but that would make me a valuable member of society - blah. So, you graduated, right? What are you up to now?
Anyway, I'll talk to you later (not a year later such as this - speaking of which, do you have my e-mail?).
Bye for now,

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant.
